Comment Booster Project - Growingpower
Hi, @karensuestudios, I'm here for the 700 SP delegation contest and I wrote this post to talk about a project - @Growingpower that I've been working on recently.
Basic Introduction
@Growingpower is a comment upvoting bot which helps minnows get more attention by writing comments.
Current Situation for minnows
As more and more users coming to Steemit, it has become much harder for beginners to start. Basically, you won't get any valuable upvotes if you're like 15 SP and 25-reputation cause others are very likely to just ignore your post. We cannot blame others for this because there are too many posts coming out every minute, but it really is not a robust ecosystem for minnows to survive.
Why Upvote on Comments?
Now the best way to start on Steemit is to write comments, because that's only way a whale or a person with higher SP will see your opinion. Once a new user start engaging in the community, making some new friends, and earning their very first few Steem Dollars, their opinions will start to be seen, and they can write and share more effectively to the community, and that's the spirit of Steemit.
So we provide this service that boost users' comment. The longer your comments are or the higher SP the author of the post has, the more Voting weight you will get on your comment.
We want to encourage people to really
read a post, digest it and then leave an informative comment. You enjoy your time on Steemit, and we make sure your ideas will not be ignored.
By doing so, minnows don't have to spend hours spamming comments to beg for upvotes, and everyone can really enjoy their time on this platform.

Why do we need help
Now this bot has only 200 SP(for 3 months), and it's a registration-based bot, we only offer the service to users who paid a one-time registration fee. We're limiting the upvote per user to 5 a day, but as our users increase, we need more steady SP to provide upvotes.
We would also like to help more minnows(or I should say encourage them to write valuable comments) with more random upvotes, but we need more SP to do so.
So I would like to use this 700 SP to:
- Start our random upvotes on minnows' comments on whales' posts.
- Spread the idea and encourage people to read more, digest articles and write comments
