I used to make them myself out of old motorbike tires and crafts materials. Taught Birmese refugee children how to make them, play them and even took some of the kids to the market to show them how to sell them to tourists. I started writing a post about this months ago. Maybe it's time to finally finish it :-D
Yes you should. Sounds interesting. We had fun with the sticks, especially when the kids started learning how to handle them. We practiced outside, they needed a lot of room :)
They're great fun and really good to practice balance and hand-eye coordination. Did you know that in the ancient Chinese armies soldiers had to practice playing them to prepare for battle?
I didn't know, but I am not surprised. It is one of those things that seem impossible at first but quite logical once you get the hang of it. Focus, focus, great toy, or sport.
