Facts about Wembley Stadium
Wembley Stadium is a football stadium in London, England a place known as Wembley.
It was officially opened in 2007, this was after the demolition of the previous Wembley Stadium and the construction of the current one. The demolition happened between 2002-2003.
The stadium hosts the Football Association (The FA) headquarters and it's owned by the governing body of the FA through a wing known as Wembley National Stadium LTD (WNSL).
FACTS# It is the second largest stadium in Europe
# It has a capacity of around 90 000 seats
# It has a circumference of 1 km
# The total length of the escalators is 400m
# It has an area of 40 000M^2 of which 13 700 M^2 is movable. This explains the reason for the sliding roof which was to avoid shading of the pitch.
# The stadium now hosts Tottenham Hotspurs as their home ground for now since their stadium is under renovation.
