Repository: Knacksteem
A call for UI/UX designers to redesign the knacksteem.org web interface for better user experience. Knacksteem is a community project that homes contribution related to talents, culture, DIYs and so on. In short, it is a platform where you can contribute with things you are passionate about. More information about the project can be found here.
The primary aim of this request is to find excellent UI/UX designer to redesign the entire front end of knacksteem which are divided into pages.

The design should not be limited only to the current function available on the site, which implies that you can create a design of your choice

Hello @knowledges, it is great to see that you work on this project and try to make it best possible. By submitting a task request, you give an opportunity for the passionate contributors to be part of your project. However, I feel that the task itself is lacking many details for anyone willing to take on this task.

As you are looking for a graphic designer who would make the final layouts for you, I miss some mockups, sketches or listed components that could be used. You included many screenshots from past Utopian frontend and mockups created for Utopian.

Some of the pages you wish for are not included among the screenshots and some of the screenshots contain parts of pages that you don't mention.

You should think about adding more details to the assignment as I believe that it will be difficult to even start without them unless you wish to have a copy of the interface you included as an inspiration. You listed the pages you would like to work with but you did not write which elements and components each page should have.

This task request will be attended again later, in a day or so. Consider thinking about the details and the components you wish for and where they should be used.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I will try to add some mockups shortly.

Okay, made some little changes to the TR ;)

Thank you for your review, @espoem!

So far this week you've reviewed 2 contributions. Keep up the good work!

You did a good job with adding some of the mockups. Still, using a layout from different platforms as a background for your mockups may have a negative impact on the perception of the task. For example, one of the screens contains the links sharing to other social platforms. Though you may have forgotten about this detail in your mockups and thus the inspirational screenshots and your mockups feel a bit disconnected as per the components you would like to have on your site.

Information for contributors:

  • Every contributor is advised to contact @knowledges to get more information on the expected layout of some of the components before you start.
  • This task is quite extensive, thus if needed, the deadline may be changed. For now, the deadline is August 18th 2018, 23:59:59 UTC
  • The layouts designs should be shared with the project owner (knowledges), we recommend using the comment section.
  • Utopian may support the contributor whose design was chosen by the project owner and other contributors whose work is seen as a high-quality one.
  • The Utopian team will see the contribution posts after the set deadline. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you do not rush with publishing your posts before then.

Information for the requester:

  • You may keep the post updated if you receive several similar questions. In that case, it is recommended to include a note when was the post last updated and highlight the section with the updates.
  • Colour scheme was not mentioned in the request. I believe that it would be better if you could think of the colours you prefer, unless you leave it completely up to the designers.

Your task request has been evaluated according to Utopian policies and guidelines, as well as a predefined set of questions pertaining to the category.

So, does this mean @outwork will be doing the UI for Knacksteem? Coincidentally, what I've come up with is very similar to this.
