Is common sense common nowadays?

Common sense... What is common sense?

I always ask myself, is common sense actually common these days...

It seems that more and more people lack a certain thing called, common sense. I am amazed by the all nonsense I hear, read, and see... and believe me when I tell you that I've seen quite some things in my time.

It's common sense to offer a pregnant woman your seat in the bus, subway, or any other place. Or even offer an elderly who need a seat. Open doors for women instead of being selfish. Share kindness! Love one another! This is all supposed to be common sense, but yet so many lack this quality!

Isn't it common sense that if you already called someone two or three times (which is already enough), and they don't answer the phone for whatever the reason may be, wouldn't it be considered to have common sense to say to yourself, possibly that person may be busy at the moment, or they cannot talk because they're driving, or maybe they do not wish to be bothered at the moment... but yet, they keep calling over and over. Share your thoughts! Is it normal behaviour?

Unfortunately, many people today don't possess the basic understandings of life, let alone have common sense. In my opinion, common sense is better than gold. To have a mind that uses logical ways of thinking to conclude is quite rare and if you are like that you are one of the few. and quite frankly it's truly sad. Something that is completely logic to some, can be the total opposite for others.

What prevents someone from having logic or common sense? Please share your opinion!
