https://www.pkbmcelahcahaya.edu.eu.org Kominfo: 5G Web is Targeted Equity in 2025 - The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) expects that 5G internet will be evenly distributed in 2025.

This was conveyed by Ismail as the Director General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology of the Ministry of Communication and Information through a written statement on the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Information. If you look back, the implementation of 5G technology itself has started since 2021 through the appointment of three operators in Indonesia, namely Telkomsel, Indosat, and XL Axiata.

The three cellular operators have officially become commercial 5G service providers. However, for Ismail, this step is not enough, because the implementation of 5G internet in Indonesia still has many challenges that must be developed so that 5G can develop very quickly or faster than expected.

Ismail revealed that the government's experience in implementing 4G networks previously took about six to seven years and until now 4G continues to develop so that it becomes the foundation for implementing 5G networks in the future.

Thus, according to Ismail, 5G can certainly be expected to be faster than before. "The time has been since it was implemented in 2021. We hope that from 2024 to 2025 it can be expanded and evenly distributed, as is the case with 4G conditions like now," he said.

5G internet distribution will certainly require special preparation and steps. Ismail said that the key to starting the use of 5G was timely and targeted. Furthermore, Ismail assesses that if the implementation of 5G internet can be done quickly, it means that Indonesia will most likely bear the learning costs of a 5G technology.

On the other hand, if it is too slow, Indonesia will only become a market and cannot participate in being the host in its own country. The presence of 5G according to Ismail gives a different feel.

Previously, when migrating from 3G to 4G technology, most of the issues were only a matter of speed. Meanwhile, the development from 4G to 5G is somewhat different, said Ismail somewhat differently, because 5G provides a broader nuance than just a user experience issue.

In addition, Ismail also explained that 5G technology has many advantages other than related to data speeds with very low latency. Where 5G is able to accommodate a very large number of devices.

In addition to high speeds and low latency, Ismail explained that 5G will also encourage new users to go beyond just use cases for connectivity via mobile broadband, including the ability to handle large numbers of devices.

"Therefore, this makes the choice of useces in 5G very diverse. So there are options for smart cities, for example, which provide the ability to handle a very wide range of devices or for example autonomous vehicles. We can provide new services that are critical to time, to delay time and cars without drivers, without crew and so on,” he explained.
