Busan - risk stage of extinction
Busan has entered an aged society with 23% of the population aged 65 or older.
Busan's value of the extinction risk index was classified as an "extinction risk area."
Busan's population is declining, mainly due to low birth rate, aging population, and young job seeker's outflow.
The Busan Metropolitan Government will support immigration and settlement of foreigners to come up with countermeasures. It also plans to attract 30,000 foreign students by 2028, but probably, in vain.
