Former overpass next to Seoul Station turned to a pedestrian walk.

The structure was judged to be unsafe for cars to be driven on and obsolete traffic-wise by the Seoul city mayor. Instead of deconstructing the road, mayor Park Won-soon got the idea to turn the road into a green park for the citizens to take walks and connect the pedestrians from one side of Seoul Station to the other. The project began in 2016 and opened in May, 2017.

There are controversies on it’s usefulness, safety, and whether it serves the purpose it was created for. However, the night view of and from Seoullo is nice.
