Speak like a Korean! Part.1
Hello world!
Today was a such a nice day in Suwon (pretty close to Seoul haha)
This time I would like to share my Korean skills for people who study Korean or want to learn how to speak Korean naturally that way Koreans will think you've studied for over 10 years!
The first main phrase for today is "혹시" which means "to happen to"
As you guys all know, Korean has lots of different ways of speaking respectfully or not respectfully.
The word "혹시" formalizes all sentences,
Koreans always (more than 90%) put "혹시" when they ask something to someone on the street or when you guys haven't met each other.
I personally always put 혹시 whenever I ask something to strangers and I really think adding "혹시" makes it sound more natural.
For example: 혹시 펜 좀 빌려주시겠어요?
Could I please borrow your pen?
혹시 몇시에요?
Do you happen to know what time it is?
I hope this post is helpful and whenever you guys have questions about Korean
I'm more than happy to share my skills :)
Always have a great day ! I'll see you guys on the next post!
