진정한기증!!!
삶과 죽음이 숨가쁘게 교차되는
병원의 침상,
매트리스의 네 귀퉁이 밑으로
산뜻하게 시쳐들어간
하얀 시트 위에
내 병든몸이 눕혀지고
문득 의사로부터
나의 뇌기능이 정지되었고
내 삶의 의미와 그 모든 목적이
정지되었다고
선언되는 순간이 오면,
부탁이오니
차가운 기계로 내몸에 인공적인
삶을 주입시키려 하지
말아주십시오
그리고 이곳을 내 죽음의 침대라고
부르지 마시고
영생의 침대라고
부르도록 해주십시오
대신 나의 몸을 택하여
다른 사람의 알찬 인생을 위해
도움이 되도록 하여 주십시오
나의 눈을 떼어 한번도 해밝음을
보지 못했거나
아가의 얼굴, 또는
사랑의 눈빛을 가진 여인을
보지못한 사람에게 주시고
나의 심장은 끝없는 고통의 세월외에는
아무것도 없는 이에게
드리십시오
나의 피는 파괴된 자동차에서
끌어낸 10대에게 주셔서
그가 나중에 손자의 노는 모습을
볼 수 있게 하시고
내 콩팥은 살기 위해 매주마다

지를 수 있게 하시고
귀머거리 소녀가
그녀의 창문 앞에서 빗소리를
들을 수 있도록
하여 주십시오
