There are around 200 distinct types of kimchi available in modern day Korea, and each one has a distinct flavor with a zangy touch. You can even see kimchi being added to a variety of dishes, such pizza and hamburgers!
It is something you cannot escape if you are in Korea. It's like to promising to stay away from salsa when visiting Mexico. It is not possible.
