Shooting through fences
The city of Fujikawaguchiko in Japan became an internet sensation because the city council erected a barrier to block the view of Mt Fuji. Tourists were climbing over themselves and on the roof of the local stores to get the perfect shot. The town took it down shortly afterward as the situation normalized.
Barriers that block the view are not what this post is about. I am no paparazzi, nor do I want to be one. This post concerns fences, particularly mesh wire fences that are put in temporarily. These are a city photographer’s best friend. They come in two orientations, diagonal as above and square as in the picture below.
