This holiday is celebrated on March 17 and is considered religious, but many associate it with beer and whiskey. Interesting dishes based on these drinks.

Pork steaks with Irish sauce

Ingredients:
4 pork steaks
1 onion
2 tbsp. l. flour, a glass of meat broth
1 tsp. Sahara
½ cup cream (20%)
butter
½ tsp. of dried sage
4 tbsp. l. whiskey.

Cooking method:
grease the steaks with butter. Grill on a grill or a simple frying pan on each side for four minutes. Prepare the sauce: finely chop the onions, fry until transparent in butter. Pour in the flour, mix, carefully pour the broth and put the sugar. Stir, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cook for about two minutes. Pour the cream, add the sage, whiskey. Salt and pepper. Boil. Serve the steaks with the sauce.

Irish roast

Ingredients:
500 g of beef
500 ml of dark beer
1 onion
1 carrot
1 stalk of celery
2-3 medium potatoes
salt
pepper
1 tbsp. l. flour
vegetable oil
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. rosemary
Worcestersky sauce (can be replaced with soybean)
2 tbsp. l Dijon mustard (you can take the usual, but less)
3-4 cloves of garlic.

Cooking method:
Meat cut into cubes of 3 cm. Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or a pan with a thick bottom. Meat salt and pepper. Fry for about two minutes. Add the flour. Stir well. Fry beef until golden brown. Cut the onions into thick half rings. Add to the meat. Mix. Cut the carrots into small cylinders. The size of all vegetables should be about the same as meat cubes. Send the carrots to the meat. Celery cut a little thinner than carrots, put to the meat. Cut the potatoes into cubes, put them into the meat. Add spices. Add Worchester sauce and mustard. Mix. Pour in the beer. Allow to boil and leave to stew under the lid for about an hour. Then remove the cover. Garlic let through the press, add to the fries. Mix. Leave the stew without the lid for another 40-60 minutes, it all depends on the readiness of the meat. Before serving sprinkle with roast chopped greens.

Coffee in Irish

Ingredients:
1-2 pieces of brown sugar
170 ml of freshly brewed strong coffee
30 ml whiskey, 40 ml whipped cream (or conventional).

Cooking method:
In turkey, weld strong coffee. Pour a glass of boiling water to thoroughly warm its walls. Pour out the water. Pour a portion of whiskey. Put sugar to taste. Let the sugar dissolve. Pour the coffee, stir. Top with whipped cream. Instead of whipped cream, you can add the usual ones. They need to be poured very carefully, by the handle of a teaspoon, so that the cream remains on the surface of the coffee.
