Lacoste (anciennement La Chemise Lacoste) est une entreprise française implantée à Troyes, spécialisée dans la confection de prêt-à-porter haut de gamme masculin et féminin. Elle fut fondée en 1933 par André Gillier et René Lacoste à la suite de la retraite du célèbre joueur de tennis. André Gillier est l'inventeur de la maille qui fit la renommée de la marque. Lacoste est maintenant un groupe qui distribue vêtements, souliers, accessoires et parfums. En novembre 2012 Lacoste a été racheté par le groupe Suisse Maus Frères Holding pour un coût estimé à plus de 1 milliard d'euros[2].
