Alavés - Leganés

A match between to teams promoted last year. Alavés after De Biasi has looked much better and won against Sevilla this weekend. This teams also met each other in the first game of the season in this league where Leganés won 1-0 at home. I can’t see many goals coming here with the solid Leganes-defense even though they conceded three in the last game against Real Betis in a 3-2 loss.

Alavés had a pretty good game against Valencia at Mestalla this Wednesday, but lost in the end. That mean they will have a fair chance to qualify when they will play the return leg in the coming week. In that game Alavés also rested many players, so it was quite a surprise with that good result against a very strong Valencia. This game Burgui will be in doubt and Rubén Duarte will be out due to suspension. Leganés will have Gerard Gumbau suspended who had a great goal against Betis, and Alexander Szymanowski will be out. I go for a draw in this game.

Real Madrid - Deportivo

If Real Madrid don’t win this game, I don’t know what to say. Nothing is working for Los Blancos, but now the must start to win games regularly. In this game they are clear favorites after they lost against Villarreal at home last weekend. They didn’t impress midweek either with a 1-0 win away to Leganés in a really bad game. Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema will probably this game, but hopefully Marco Asensio, Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo will be enough to beat this Depor-team.

Deportivo are coming from a loss (again), and have to start taking points soon if they want to survive. They should have got a point against Valencia, but Adrian López had a huge miss at the end of the game. Hopefully for the away side the only player missing will be Fede Cartabia in this game.

I can’t see Deportivo take points here, and I will without a doubt go for a Real Madrid-win in this game. This will be an important game for two teams in crisis.

Real Sociedad - Celta Vigo

This is going to be a fun game to watch. If you love attacking football you will have to watch this game! This is probably the game I am most looking forward to in addition to Betis - Barcelona, and I am pretty sure we will se a lot of goals in this game. These are two teams underperforming this season, but the attacking football they can show us is so entertaining. The first game between these two teams this season ended with a 3-2 win for Real Sociedad, and I also think we will se a result like this in this game.

The only important player out here will be Íñigo Martínez who is in doubt because of a injury. Celta have no injuries, so you can start to look forward to this game, like I do. I will go for a draw here in a very open game.

Real Betis - Barcelona

For sure Betis have a golden boy in Fabián Ruiz! He is now tracking interest from the big clubs, and I wonder have long he will be a Betis-player. Two outstanding games now in a row against Sevilla and Leganés. Two wins also in a row for a Betis-team climbing at the table. From being close to relegation, they are now seventh in the league fighting for the Europa.

The big problem for Betis this game is that they are playing the best team in the world right now I would say. Barcelona is looking unbeatable right now, and Luis Suárez has been world class for a while now. I think this game also will be very fun to watch, and together with the enthusiastic Betis-fans, hopefully Betis can get something from this game and create some excitement in the top.

Antonio Sanabria will still be out, but Rubén Castro is surely back after scoring the winning goal against Leganés Monday-night. Joel Campbell will also still be missing, while Quique Setien will face has last game of the three-game suspension. Alcácer, Coutinho and Samuel Umititi will be missing for the away side.

I think we will see some goals in this game, but I can’t see anything other than Barca taking the three points yet again and continue their impressive run. Barca-win for me in this game.

Eibar - Málaga

The last game of round 20 will be played between two teams very different this season. Eibar continues to impress and maybe over performing in terms of budget and the players they have, while Málaga is looking dead and finished at the bottom of the table. Now Málaga have a new manager in José González, so it will be interesting to watch if he can make any difference in this team.

«Of course» Eibar won the last time they met, and these teams are for me almost two different leagues right now, and Eibar will be seen as favorites for this game. Pedro León again and Fran Rico will miss this game, and Málaga hopefully can get Juanpi, Bastón and Diego Rolán back for this game, but they are surely in doubt. Miguel Torres and Juankar is also still out.

Betting picks:

  • Real Sociedad - Celta Vigo, over 3 goals @ 1.95 - 8 units
