Triangles And Public Activism, Learning Log

in #learning3 years ago (edited)

Today is September 22, 2021.

On the weekend, we had a picnic by the beach and I practiced my scootering tricks. Then we went and saw my mom's friend's cat. His name is Rigby. He is named after a Beatles' song. He has black fur and yellow eyes.

I am studying Triangles in Math.

You can define triangles either by their angles or the length of their sides. If a triangle has 3 acute angles, it is an acute triangle. If a triangle has 2 acute angles and 1 right angle, it is a right triangle. If a triangle has 2 acute angles and 1 obtuse angle, it is an obtuse triangle. An equilateral triangle has 3 equal sides. An isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides. A scalene triangle has no equal sides.

In Social Studies, we have been studying public activism. The types of public activism are as follows according to the according the Canadian Curriculum:

  • boycott
  • rally
  • street march
  • strike
  • sit in hunger
  • strike writing
  • letters to politicians

I have now finished my grade 5 Social Studies unit and we will be starting a Science unit.

We started a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. We are now reading The Third wheel. We are on page 81.
