Immersive Family Fun Adventure at Legoland Discovery Center in Michigan USA
After check in, we were greeted by a staff who ushered us to the green-screened photo area. We had an experience in Augumented Reality when we were asked to interact with the Legoland fantasy photo environment. Next, the fantasy continued as we got in line to ride as Legoland heroes, shooting villains with a responsive vibrating laser gun and saving citizens at every turn. My children enjoyed it and I loved it too. It was a brief moment of heightened entertainment and escapism.
After the ride, the kids were bursting with excitement and couldn't wait to move to the next thing. Along the way in we stopped at the souvenir photo stand. After all the excitement of slaying giants, we get to pick some photos of our daring adventure. We moved on on to the legoland Miniature creation area where lighting and spectacle set the stage for an immersive interactive Kodak/photo moment. Around the corner, we hopped on a carousel and flew high into the sky with the magical manual power of peddling. The faster we peddle, the higher we go. In that same area, there are thousands of lego pieces that patrons can make their own creation. Kids learn to put stuffs together in a no stress, non-competitive hyper-realism environment. It is educational and beautiful.
The highlight of our evening was the 4D cinema. It was a first time experience for my family. The seats moved. It rained and there's a feeling that you almost got struct by lightning. The 4D movie was an amazing sensory experience. The experience was highly entertaining, educative, offers escapism and is aesthetically pleasing.
