Are you eating out this weekend?

in #letseat6 years ago (edited)

We have had another great week of Let’s Eat posts from all over the world.

Join us this weekend and add another country to the map!

Restaurant Reviews on Steem!

The app is available for download in the play store

In this post I will give a brief update on the app, and I will showcase some of the recent content from around the world.

When I began on this journey, I wanted to build an app that was somewhat similar to Tripadvisor or Yelp but on Steem....

I have come to realise Let’s Eat will be much more. Let's Eat is bringing together the wisdom of the crowd, AI & Blockchain on your phone in a way that has never been possible before now.

What does that mean?

This week I was out for a picnic and of course there is no app that will show you where the best picnic spots are.

The Next Level

It is not in any businesses interest to promote picnics (there is no customer revenue). Until now review apps have been focused on generating advertising revenues from businesses. They make limited use of the crowd, sure the user gets an experience but is not the focus.

Freedom...

Let's Eat is not just about picnics. Let's Eat is freeing you to review what you want, when you want, how you want. Because the Let's Eat app is built on Blockchain and new revenue models the users are the focus of the app. You can add anything you desire to the app and we will use features of the Blockchain to incentivise useful content.

The Steem blockchain has freed us from the restrictions of only finding promoted paid for advertised places.
In the travel space are we finally getting our freedom back?

Let's Eat is beta and only available on Android but with your support our community will grow.

User Content

Let’s take a tour of the diverse content that can be found on #letseat from around the world...

If you are visiting Canary Wharf in London @karamyog is writing great reviews about all the good places to eat.

In Taipei @ettydiallova is sharing lovely places and promoting Let’s Eat in her city.

You can write in any language, in future versions of the app we will introduce automatic translation. I am using it already to see what people write and discover places to visit around the world.

In Aceh @rikanurrizki is a regular contributor and leading the community there with her great reviews.

At the complete opposite side of the world @wagnertamanaha writes about unique places in Brazil, and unique types of food.

Why can you only see local places?

You can browse the #letseat tag to see all the posts on Steemit but the intention for the app is to just show you nearby places, pinned on the map. You will use the mobile app to find relevant places near you.

Give Let’s Eat a try this weekend and let me know what you think!

Please Delegate your Support

Now that we have tools for responsibly upvoting content we are looking for delegation to incentivise people to use the app. If you think this app is a good Steem idea you may consider delegating a token (or large) amount of SP to the @letseat account which we will use carefully to promote the development of the application.

Sounds like a great concept. I'm downloading the app now. My wife and I love to eat out and review places.

Fantastic, hope you like it. If you have any questions or suggestions let me know.

Now, Let's Eat app became my routine with Steemit. Time to Eat, Time to Use Let's Eat.

Time to Eat, Time to Use Let's Eat.

Great line :)

Because one of my work is Copy Writer. So I am very happy to make a "line" that is easy to remember and liked many people.

Thanks @eroche

i have download your application and use it too... thank you @eroche...

To the question in your title, my Magic 8-Ball says:
