A Letter To My Self (way back July 18, 2010)
I just want to share my letter that I saw in my old clear book during college days. I wrote this letter way back June 18, 2010 when I knew that our college department took away my name in the list of Com Laude students.
I know that the world seems so vague for you today. I know that you carry heavy loads of burdens. Inside you is a place where you live all alone where no one knows you and hears you. You never feel secured and cared nor feel happiness and being loved, you seems so empty and weak. I know you are discourage for you fail to success, you feel down for you didn't reach what you strive for in spite of your hard work and perseverance.
Don't let the negative feelings swallowed you. It's fine! I know that you are working harder. You go to school everyday, assist your mom with household chores, help out dad to save small amount of penny, encourage your young brothers and sister with their studies, concerned about your friends and others, knows how to listen and be a companion and that's the most important!
Everyday is the beginning of a new day; God has given you this day to see life with beauty and delight. You're still so young to see life as gloomy and weary. You better turn your eyes to the other side where adversities gives you the opportunity for creativity and growth. Your negative feelings brings uneasiness, but I still believe whatever good or bad fortune may come your way you can always give meaning and transform it into something of value. Try to climb mountains for you to see lowlands, then you'll realize you're at the top of the world.
You're special; prayerful and strong. Respect yourself and other people stand up for what is right, even if you have to stand alone. Continue to strive to accomplish your plan for your life, I'll tell you never expect for poeple to give you of value, create your value on your own and never forget to least expect there are a lot of things you have to learn first.
All of us need to grow up consistently in our lives. Growing up is what you needed the most, grow through life, grow with life when tomorrow comes, yesterday will be gone forever; you left only things that you have traded for it leaving yesterday with legacy.
What you do today is important. You can waste it or use it for good, to spend as you will and do something even better in order that you shall not regret the price you have paid for it and that's where you harvest your springs and success because you barter a day of your life for it! Live up and grow up!
