Homosexuality.
Although we are in the XXI century, there are still people who support theories that homosexuality is not congenital, but that it is a pattern of irregular behavior that is learned and even tend to say that it is a disease and that it is contagious. Also linked to the theory that is congenital also said that homosexuality is hereditary, it should be noted from the beginning that homosexuality has no scientific explanation confirmed, if it is true that the closest to reality is that it is congenital because we know I am like that, but other theories emerge from this, such as the theory that homosexuality is hereditary, because if it is congenital it must be hereditary or it must be some gene or genetic factor that makes it continue to spread from generation to generation, like many conditions and diseases that are usually inherited from previous generations.
Theory about congenital homosexuality.
'' The alleles - groups of genes - that sometimes encode the homosexual orientation can sometimes have a reproductive benefit, which would compensate the gays and ensure the continuation of the characteristic, since the heterosexuals would pass the gene.
There are two ways that it happens. One, that the allele confers a psychological characteristic by which heterosexual men are more attractive to women or vice versa.
"We know that women tend to like more feminine facial and behavioral characteristics in their men and that could be associated with issues such as the ability to raise children or greater empathy," says Qazi Rahman, co-author of "Born Gay; Psychobiology of Sex Orientation ". Consequently, the theory says, a low "dose" of these alleles increases the chances of reproductive success. Occasionally a member of the family receives a higher dose that affects their sexual orientation, but the allele retains a reproductive advantage.
Another way in which a "gay allele" could compensate for their reproductive deficit is with the opposite effect on the opposite sex. For example, an allele that causes the carrier to be attracted to men has an obvious reproductive advantage for women. If it appears in a man's genetic code, there will be same-sex attraction, but as long as it is rare, the allele still has an evolutionary benefit. There is some evidence in favor of this second theory. Andrea Camperio-Ciani, from the University of Padova, in Italy, found that female relatives on the maternal side of homosexual men have more children than heterosexuals. This implies that there is an unknown mechanism on the X chromosome of the male genetic code that helps women in the family to have more babies, but can lead to homosexuality in men. The results have not been replicated in some ethnic groups ''
The theory of learning
The theory of learning emphasizes that all animals, including humans, exhibit or are capable of homosexual activities. Consequently, it seems that animals are bisexual and that the environment can have a great influence on the choice of a sexual partner. In some primitive cultures, a male may be the appropriate sexual partner for a young male, while, in adulthood, the accepted sexual partner may be a female.
Therefore, perhaps humans do not have an innate preference for the other gender as an adequate sexual partner, although the nature of conditioning and socialization channels this disposition. That is, cultural pressures align a generalized impulse in a direction prescribed by the same culture. On sexual behavior in humans and animals, there are detailed tests of the bisexual inheritance of humans that tends to confirm the above idea. We could conclude that heterosexual behavior is a way of being acquired, that is, learned. The theory of learning indicates that heterosexual development is, in fact, more random than is usually supposed. We should not only ask ourselves: why do homosexuals and lesbians develop as such? But also: why do heterosexuals develop as such?
Consequently, the perspective of the theory of learning is that humans have a broad set of sexual tendencies that, depending on experience and circumstances, can be conditioned in one way or another, towards heterosexuality or homosexuality . This point of view presents the problem that assumes that the development of male homosexual and homosexual female are similar, which seems difficult before the different experiences and categories of men and women in our culture, an aspect that they recognize more clearly the psychoanalytic theories. On the other hand, the model of learning theory considers lesbianism as a normal form of behavior without difficulty, unlike psychoanalytic theories, which treat it as deviant or compensatory.
After reading and analyzing the 2 theories, I see that the two theories are quite complete and makes good sense, because they are quite different because each one talks about what knowledge would be within their area, psychology is based on the theory of behaviorism and biology in the theory that homosexuality is congenital and is linked to genetic factors, also in psychology many support the theory that it is genetic and in biology also support the theory of behaviorism. There are millions of theory that talk about many things other than genetic factors and behaviorism, and they emphasize anything else that can have a big impact when it comes to talking about gender and sexuality.
I personally support the theory of what, homosexuality is not due to any genetic factor, or behavior, is something natural, I am not a scientist, but I think that if homosexuality was due to something genetic (For very homophobic to read) and would have looked for ways to reverse the development of homosexuality in the gestation phase or to identify when the fetus will develop with this condition, I find inconsistencies in the theories because, the theory of learning induces me to ask a question, ¿ Can homosexuality be avoided by correcting behaviors, like any other disorder or psychological condition? And the one that is congenital, makes me ask, given the fact that homosexuality is congenital and the advance of technology in the 21st century, why can not homosexuality be identified in the gestation phase and could it be avoided? This is something you are born with, without scientific explanation, like many unexplainable things that occur in human beings, many behaviors that do not develop, you are only born with them, comment what you think of these two theories or any another that you know.

Two points:
The best way to justify a genetic basis for homosexuality is to look for its benefit not in the homosexual individual, but in the benefit their homosexual phenotype brings to their community of genetic relatives. For example, if a community has a small percentage of homosexual individuals, then those individuals are working to add food to the community, while not at the same time adding more mouths to feed through reproduction. (This has been called the "gay uncle" hypothesis.)
Somewhat related... one of the few known predictors of homosexuality is called the "fraternal birth order effect". Basically, for genetically male individuals, the more older male siblings they have, the more likely they are to become homosexual. It's somewhat reasonable to extrapolate that having a large number of siblings could somehow function as an environmental signal that checks population growth.
Although we are in the XXI century, there are still people who thinks homosexuality should be repressed. Fortunately, that idea is less and less popular every year.
