Why do we keep information from others if we know it's going to help them succeed in life? Is it really just a simple demonstration of the crab mentality?

Crab mentality: put crabs in a pot, no one will get out because each time a crab climbs up, another will pull it down.

Why is it so hard for us to see others succeed? Why does it make us insecure when a colleague is performing well? Why do we not share information, when in the first place, that information has just been passed down to you as well?

Why is it painful for humans to see others rise? Why can't we mind our own business and let them be?

So many questions. So many unanswered questions.

And in the end, when you all both fail -- him because he was dragged so low he wasn't able to stand up in time, and you, karma ricocheted back on you and you fail way much harder than him.

And you're now speaking so boldly about unfairness of the system, that you weren't given information while standing there, lame, holding those pieces of information you had so long ago.

I understand. Sometimes, you have to believe what you are saying even if you know it's not true, just to maintain the dignity you lost, to maintain the self-respect you've lost from yourself.
