A Guy called Peter B from a pretty Popular Local Band posed a Question on Facebook about would you own a Gun and it took me back to an incident that occurred when I was working for Nauvoo Paving

Recovery of a Hi -Jacked Truck.

Not long after I joined David I was offered a 5 acre Plot for a Pretty Good Deal , Just Past the Krugersdorp Game Reserve , on the Main Tarlton Road , with a Huge House on it and a Number of OutBuildings ( Ideal to Park trucks, Keep Materials and My not inconsiderable Mechanical Collection) Official Word was so our Kids would have plenty of Fresh Air!

Chris got our House in Witpoortjie sold in under a Week , With the Plot we Inherited a Beautiful Dobermann, Chris renamed Elton John.. More on this later.

A lot of our Paving Work was Done in Pretoria. Coming Back from Garsfontein on the East Side

This was the answer to Peter's query about Guns:-

Years ago before Hi-Jacking became a popular word( and pastime). Driving a truck back from Pretoria loaded with Tools . A Bigger truck passed me , and then cut me off. 3 Dusky Gentlemen hopped out and approached me , one had a Panga in his hand ( probably wanting to trim the verge of the road) , another a knife. If I had not had a Gun tucked in my Wasteband , I would not be telling you this. Any how there was a concerted effort to jump back in their Truck , shouting " Mistake, Mistake, Sorry!"

A Panga is an African version of a Machete!

I Gather that the Mistake was that they thought I was unarmed!
