NEXT TO HIM

in #life7 years ago

Hello Everyone.

I've been MIA due to work and other stuff, like I got lazy and procrastinated, but I came back thinking "how good of a stress reliever this would be" if I just put my feelings on here, since nothing disappears from here (steemit).

Before the story telling starts!

THE BIG REVEAL!

well....not really, you should know from my title, I'm a female! And if you'd still wanna guess my name, ethnicity or give advice?

Half of my lifetime ago, I met my husband through my older sister online. We dated and 99 percent of our "dating" was long distance. What we had was young love and that young love was so pure, as clear as the sky on a hot sunny day but of course...all pure things eventually comes to an end. My husband (boyfriend at that time) needed to find himself and to become a better man. He decided to go and I just couldn't bring myself to ask him to stay anymore than I've already had. We broke up and weren't in contact since then, his phone and the only way for me to contact him was all gone.

I know I know "jerk" or "that's just an excuse" right?

but even still...I loved him and I had to bring myself to move on from him. Almost a year later, I started to try to date again and things were going a bit fast with the "new boyfriend". Oddly enough, I was going insane because of the way he talked and texted was just so similar to him(my husband). Not even two weeks passed, The new boyfriend was pushing for marriage and I, who was insecure, helpless, idiotic, and influenced on, was gonna say yes to a guy I just talked overnight and dated the next day!

INSANE! AND UTTERLY STUPID.

well...when you're young, inexperienced, and easily pressured into anything. Everything can happen. Thankfully, it didn't. My husband who left me, knew the guy! They were working on a project together and he told me to break up with the "new boyfriend" because the new boyfriend also did the same thing to his sister...........confused yet?

Long story, short, I broke up with the new boyfriend and my husband and I, started to... "catch up".

The flame that was perishing no longer held back.

Ever heard of the saying

He became a different "better" man, kept true to his words and here I am today, next to him.
