Mistakes That Cost Time... ⏰

in #life7 years ago

Firstly I just want to apologise for not posting for the past two days, I’ve been terribly sick with alcohol poisoning and had been struggling to sit upright in a chair as I’d vomit up every meal. Luckily for me I’ve learnt my lesson and I will not be partaking in any drinking activities as I’ve learnt my lesson, however I’m not so concerned about the being sick part, I’m more so damned at how much time I’ve wasted. A 4 hour night of enjoyment for 36 hours of time that I could have spent further bettering myself in comparison to lying in a bed clutching for my life and my stomach acids to stay inside of me. That cripples me because when things like this occur you’re essentially just falling behind in the race that is life. Apologies guys this posts more of an update I’m going to be productive thought today to ensure I’ve got somewhat beneficial content tomorrow.
Secondly, I just wanted to thank everyone that has subscribed to my steemit account, you guys have been ever so generous rallying half a thousand people already in just over a week! A huge thanks to that guys YOUSE ARE THE BEST! I’ll be back tomorrow better than ever, learning more everyday and am doing some stuff with fithtake so I’m keen to let you guys in on that. As always, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.

I agree with @tryskele - Don't be too hard on yourself. However, I'm thrilled that you gained the most valuable lesson from the experience. Your time has been wasted. It is you most valuable asset - the ultimate finite resource. Your appreciation of it is a good sign going forward. I found you through the #payitforward contest. You were featured by @tryskele. Congratulations and all the best to you. ;)

Thankyou soo much energyaddict22 I try my best to always learn, and all the best to you good sir!

Being sick is horrible and that too for 36 hours can be pretty crazy. I am glad you learned your lesson. We all learn through our mistakes. It's just about timing. Some learn it at once and some take a lifetime. Some learn but are unable to cope up with it and give in.

Don't be so hard on yourself @aiden-french. You're at an age, you have to live and learn. Being that sick though is horrible.

Yeah definitely, but sometimes that can be the difference between staying with the rest or getting ahead of the competition in life, youth is only a small portion of your time!

So very true and it passes to quickly.

It passes in time for most people, not all people, the drinking till puking stage. Some learn it the hard way, some have no problem with it, some keep it up until they need a new liver thinking they will be the exception. My suggestion, don't quit drinking, just quit buying it. By the liquor store. If you really want a beer, go to a friends house, but do not buy any, nor give someone else money to buy for you. That way you are not quitting drinking depriving yourself of something you enjoy, you are just not buying it any more.

Thanks for your comment, bashadow it would definitely be alot more wise to be selective when drinking, restricting to special occasions etc.

It helped me doing it that way, if a friend offers me a beer, I will sit and enjoy it with him, but I very very rarely buy a beer to take home and dink myself. I still do on a very rare occasion buy myself a six pack but in the last 12 years it would average less than one six pack a year, as there were several years I bought none.

We all go through the dumbass stage 🤢

We live and we learn <3

yes we do . and generally it's the only way we do . you gave my a vote . thats nice and I thank you . (Don't do it again until you learn a little more about steemit and voting) get with me later and I'll give you some insight . but nice thought , thank you again

Yeah i'm extremely new to steemit and don't know too much about how voting and leveling works.

LOL yea so was I here we can talk here an go over some things https://discord.gg/zjDzGq there are others there that can help also

Oh, I'm soooo sorry that you got sick. I'm happy that you are feeling better now (((hugs)))

Sorry to hear that family sounds like a rough night yep drinking will do that to you belly and brain problems that could throw your body off for a few hours making you feel weak and in need of water the next day that's part of the reason you feel that way but once you start to hydrate your body it starts to come to feeling better and slowly you can start your day and thats what I hate about drinking to much in one sitting but it do not effect all in the same manner all the time some can take more than others but over all becareful of how you treat your body we only get one thanks family
