Anxiety... Stress... Anorexia, Depression... Dependences, Insomnia... Bulimia. Those are a few of the desorders that the contemporary world struggles with, more and more often and powerful. We were wondering why... but the sad truth is that these days we are controlled by social-media. We are buried in this world of "perfection", that we become blind and deaf. Have you ever think about how social networks as Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat affects the society?

First of all, all that we see on the internet is perfect pictures, bodies, faces, lifes - LIES... In reality it's not as perfect as it's seems. People are searching to post on the internet "the best picures", they are searching to show what is accepted by the society and what is considereted as being "beauty" or any what fits in the beauty standards. In my opinion, I do not condemn, nothing it's wrong, but that gives to the world, life and humans an unrealistic appearance. For example: That beautiful girl, with the perfect skin, that you saw on the Instagram, she may have acne problems and she's entire face is cover in make-up, just because she is ashamed of her look. All the pictures that made you feel jealous may have a iperfect story behind them, and you will never know. It's easy to compare yourself with the Insta-perfection and to feel bad or to try to integrate into that beauty standards, but it's easier to see the difference betwen reality and ilusions, and to enjoy your life. Stop judging people and yourself and looks at the world as it is.

That ridiculous pictures with quotes or phrases made to impress, or to touch, for exemple these:

There are many on the internet these days, and unfortunately, influences "childrens" making them feel understood, sad, strong... I don't know... I personally find them pathetic.

Lastly, people are absorbed by their phones, living in a virtual world and forgetting the real world. Nowadays we are addicted to our phones, we can not do anything without them.
Don't get me wrong, I also use my phone, I speak with my friends, but I prefer seeing them, talking to them face to face, I prefer to do things that made me forget about my phone.

This is strict my opinion. I think that humanity is hurt by these things, but I don't know how something can change because it has integrated well in society.

Sort:

yes, you are right in everything you said. but I would add that these strategies of society do not often allow us to be as we are

Totally agree. Also, I think it depends on each person how they choose to spend their lives. ;)

I agree with your opinion. I've seen personally what this has done to people I know, and their simply oblivious to it. You are truly gifted at art and blogging, no amount of makeup and sugarcoats can emulate such an ability. I'm now a follower. You will see me again.
