Letters from the madhouse - poetry on the walls

Your took my hand without a word and kissed my pain so deep ...

We visited her yesterday. During the few days since the visit before that, the walls of her sparse room have imbibed her spirit.
Here is one of those walls. H (full name blurred out) is a fellow inmate ... well Ok, a patient. But it is a closed ward!
H is a young woman on the surface but a little being of a girl inside. Here is the poetry on the wall dedicated to her, written by my loved one whom we visited.

H
a girl so pure
a child so rich
imaginative fire

You took my hand
without a word
and kissed my pain so deep

We danced we skipped
We played
inside and out

Never before I played
My girl inside
rejoiced and full
cried Tears of
endless flow

My heart my soul
Both broke in pain
The depth
I can't explain

For H a girl no longer was
But a woman
Trapped in vein
And I a girl could not be
Already old was I
