In defense of something rather than nothing.
There are certain human attributes that I must admit, they seem despicable to me.
Obviously, I consider them alien to me, because that is how I try to keep them, away.
Things like arrogance, intolerance, ostentation, vanity... I make a daily effort not to fall into the shame of holding on to any of these concepts.
It is not a matter of chance or even a moral commitment, to me its a matter of education. The education I've had and the one I've procured for myself has suggested the following: that these attributes can be identified in each premise of the problems we are currently facing as a species on this planet.
Which problems? Jesus Christ where the fuck have you been... Global warming, threat of nuclear war, contamination of the water, hunger, depression, apathy, Donald Trump...
It happens that these attributes have the particular tendency to take advantage of human weakness, our weakness. And not only do they take advantage of it, but it puts the optimal conditions to make our weakness grow, to strengthen them, and when one of us goes and falls into the trap, that person becomes hated and excluded from society.
What weaknesses are these? Well, there are many factors, seeing it through the biological one, it would be the weakness of the habit, our organism is kind of nostalgic. Our body becomes attached to what it likes to be given... Then it is hard for us to abandon it.
But I was thinking rather about the psychological weaknesses of the human being, our vulnerable condition of conscience: that we are insecure (arrogance), we believe ourselves to be perfect (intolerance), we are dominated by appearance (ostentation), and we despise or separate ourselves from the essential (vanity).
To the subject. How does this relate to the world we live in?
Well, there is something called Postmodernism, is like an ideological trend that is gaining popularity among young academics around the world. It arises from the disappointment caused by the outbreak of WW1.
But wars happen all the time, what was so disappointing about this one? That the ideas and morals, artistic, scientific and cultural principles that were changing the ways of thinking, those that promised the end of social injustice and the abyss between power and people; they all unleashed in terrible forms of totalitarianism. This is how Nazis & Co. came about.
Because there is no doubt that the principles of communism seem beautiful. Socialist politicians have wonderful ideas, I have seen them in many countries, and I have studied them through history. What do we accuse them of? Of being, actually, agents of evil. They use the beauty and attractiveness of their ideas to manipulate the most passionate masses, deceiving them with ambiguous concepts such as freedom, morals and justice to reach power and impose a centralized administration, a totalitarianism. Many times we say that it is a dictatorship, but it is not. They win elections to meet a monster that overcomes them.
I do not think there is evil in their hearts... At least not more than anyone else. Just as I do not think that Hitler was like, this devil sent from hell... I think of him as a frustrated person with a very sad life... Respected by some, hated by most. Loved by none.
I'm sorry, but it's the way I see it, I do not judge people in history, because history are stories of old people who lose contact with reality, history is not true. It can only be contrasted, investigated , explored and interpreted so you can develope your own point o view, but it is never the truth.
Neither am I denying the holocaust, I am only discreet with what I state, you know the saying: I am the master of my silence, and the slave of my words.
I think those politicians are inspired by doing something, by bringing something into existence. They commit themselves to impossible ideals (a post modernist would say). Impossible in a way that they can not be put into reality.
Why? Here comes the philosophical issue. From the work of Freud, and its immediate impact on the minds of the time, people will have a fundamentalist vision of power.
What this great work will come to suggest is that everything that someone does, it does with the intention of gaining power. Everything we say to a woman, or do for her, is with the aim of dominating her. Sex is the main concern of man, and explains all kinds of neurosis from the resistance we exercise (or that society exercises) against our instinctive desires.
For me is a fact, that capitalism is at the center of all these questions. And maybe not so much capitalism as an ideology or religion, but capitalism in the sense of the use of money. As long as we measure human contributions in money, I do not think we will ever overcome this existential vacuum.
Existential emptiness that we have filled with things, and especially with products. Maybe you will have noticed that nowadays, if we wanted to renounce of all that could develop cancer cells in our body, we would have to get rid of tobacco, sugar, gluten, soft drinks, microwave popcorns, bacon, sausage, mortadella... I mean, what desire to live will be left after all that? A desire to live in the jungle, my friend.

Now, how could a product that causes a disease such as cancer have come to exist? Well, the answer lies in communism's archenemy: the capital.
This is the society we live in, it tastes so well, but it is also very harmfull. The enjoyment comes with a sacrifice... We sacrifice our time to get things that give us pleasure. Sure we also use money to get food and those that could be called "basic products", which are the ones that people agreed to use, but I am curious: how much was spent on deodorant for soldiers during the world wars? How many diseases do indigenous people develop because they do not wash their hands with soap? How much people were bored before the internet existed? Nothing, none, and less than nowadays.
They are not needs, because we do not need them to live. Maybe we need them to live under agreed conditions, I can not stand the smell of a dirty axilla (im looking at you! Europeans in the metro! Please!) But its not something WE NEED, according to what I recognize as needing. We can live without them, it doesn't matter how much ads will try to convince you, you do not need them. Companies are not doing you a favor, they are not honorable members of society for distributing products, its just people making money, it is what we are, our ability to generate money.
