Right now is a very exciting time for the APPICS team - our ICO on March 28 is right around the corner and we are busy preparing everything and bringing the vision to life!
So many things have happened in the past few weeks, so now it's time to give the Steemit community an update and share our progress.
APPICS AG FOUNDED IN SWITZERLAND
APPICS AG is now officially a registered company in Zug, Switzerland!
Zug is one of the leading cities in terms of blockchain adaption, nicknamed the "crypto valley" - a next-generation tech hub for blockchain enthusiasts and crypto-startups from around the globe.
In January, the APPICS founders travelled to Switzerland to register the company there, and connect with other blockchain experts.

APPICS TEAM - BEHIND THE SCENES
In other news, we have also had a few new additions to the APPICS team.
Developers Jürgen and Jörg have started working on the front- and backend of our application, while Tim will take care of the Blockchain Integration.
On our marketing- and creative team, we have Esko, Felix, Lisa and Selena to join the APPICS family and help our vision come to life!
We are growing as a team and working together to prepare for our ICO on March 28, developing the first testnet and working on new creative ideas!
UPCOMING EVENTS
This month, the APPICS team starts the Global Tour, representing APPICS at various blockchain- and media events around the globe.
We will be traveling to the US, Asia, Europe, and more - speaking about the APPICS vision and sharing our passion.

APPICS is the first Smart Media Token (SMT) on the STEEM Blockchain. We are actually cooperating with Steemit Inc on this project, who are currently developing the SMT protocol

Could you please explain how the appics SMT will be of any benefit to the steem blockchain?
As the ICO is happening on the ethereum network I don't see the upside for steem.
Where can I read more about your token creation process? Is there a set amount of XAP, or is there a set inflation rate such as STEEM? Will STEEM play any role in your platform other than the blockchain? Thanks!!
