Live it #1

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my #live it series where I shall share life hacks and my travel experiences (30 countries and counting!).

My first post is going to focus on a very real yet grimmness fact of our lives. The times we just want to give up. The times when the unpredictability of our circumstances are overwhelming. When we just want to throw the towel in and let nature takes its course.

But we are part of nature and we are the ones with a choice to the state of our minds and affairs. So how do we survive the unsurvivable?

Here are a few tips:

**Go Back To ‘Why’

Ask yourself why did the situation occur? What was your part and actions that left you where you are? But knowing why will only help if you ask yourself what can you change and do now?

Every 90 days revisit your big ‘why’ to ensure you’re on track and achieving what you want.

**Learn To Feel Uncomfortable

It is okay and natural to be uncomfortable. Can you imagine a world of being comfortable with everything? It would be a world of uniformity and you will be deprived of personality and choices. Life is not easy nor is it meant to be.
When you feel stuck in a rut you must learn to breathe, reset and revisit your goals. Simply time out and revisit your goals.

**Win Through Persistence

Winston Churchill said, “If you have an important point to make, don’t try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time – a tremendous whack.” Persistence and perseverance is the key to success. You may not succeed in the first go. But try and try again and assess your productivity after every attempt. Understanding and truly believing that persistence delivers results will keep you moving forward.

** Share your goals

Find an ‘accountability buddy’ to keep you on track. We all make plans. But we all wavier. So find someone who can help when you want to give up! This way you are more successful in your perseverance.

**Acknowledge challenges

We all know life is not rainbow and bunnies. Oh yes, there will be tough times – but you already know this. Acknowledge the challenge, embrace it, learn what you can and power on! Never think its just you suffering.

** Get Happy :)

Find what makes you happy. For me its music and a walk in nature. That’s just the way we’re built. But, instead of lying on the sofa eating ice cream out of the tub and putting on your favorite sitcom, get happy! Happiness releases endorphins and frees you from the shackles of negativity.

Even when we dont know our journeys destination we can always be driven by our values. So dont despair, if your values driving force are correct then your final destination surely will be positive.
