Self-improvement update: budget, hobbies, apps and health

in #life2 years ago

This is my weekly self-improvement post where I discuss some other things besides crypto-blogging.

My daily 5minute choirs' list consists of 50 points, and it is progressing nicely. I use it to neatly organize my daily activities so I have time for everything.

We are one week behind the budget, due to additional costs.

last week I spent more time online but I was also able to reserve more time for my own offline activities.

SO LET'S TALK ABOUT THE STUFF!!

1. Family and budget

We are a week behind the budget due to additional costs, plus we acquired a new car. A car needed certain things to be done on it, and I was not satisfied with some stuff that had to be fixed.
For now, I do not need any additional funds and besides a normal food replenishment, we don't need anything.
I consider my dispute with Crypterium settled and I will no longer use their services. A debt they issued to me was useful for my kid to buy tools, games, and trinkets online but to expense and trouble they put me through is not worth it. I can buy some things with my normal debit. It is simply not worth all the trouble.

Could be better.

2. Fiction and hobbies

Didn't do much about that, but I put all my fiction in the folders and I will start working on that next month.
I watched a few documentaries and Grimm serial for fun, but the fifth season of Grimm is just stupid so I watch it somewhere in the background while I read.
Movies are generally dissatisfying lately, I can't find a single good one.
So, instead, I started to read ebooks.
Currently, I am reading

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
. This is a short insight. I am already at one-third of it.

Movies this year are a big disappointment in general.

3. Dapps, phones, and gadgets

I am trying to have installed only the apps I absolutely need on my phone, and because my PC is primarily used for work I use the phone for fun and communication. I like to read and try apps on my phone, so I occasionally install something new and test it.
During the last week, I came back to feedless.social - it is that sort of an archaic old type social network so it has my attention.
I played with carsized.com, which is a car comparison tool.
I tested 10hit Exchanger, which by the way doesn't work.
I installed Dissenter, which has a similar every-webpage comment capability feature, but with a profile page, as a Remarkwhich doesn't have a history of a webpage where we comment and no notifications. I don't think I will keep Dissenter but remark.surf is cool because it allows non-intrusive free-speech commenting and I also promote it on my Pranz blog.

Interesting.

4. Divination and spirituality

We got lousy reading for this week, all for spending and budget, so I will not comment much about it and just focus on nice stuff and my hobbies.

Well, crap...

5. Health, food, and fitness

I talk about health from my own personal standpoint, as I had a lot of health issues
- I am lectin intolerant and I have to avoid saturated fat because my liver is icky on those things. So, everything I say in here is connected to that. Have it in mind.

The new regime worked, I included some light exercises. It is not much but even with that easy level my kid, who joined the schedule, says that a set of exercises is INSANE ( when done properly).

The new "diet" - the intermitted fastening - which is in my language called "no dinner", works just fine and I don't see any difference as I was doing it spontaneously for a long time. In fact, I don't feel anything wrong and I don't experience any lack, energy-wise or cravings.

I prepared a big text about food and nutrients for tomorrow, so I will discuss it more in detail in that post. Hope you like it.
