it is a really interesting post, and there is way much more under the surface than you can read on it, every state of mind is beneficial if you don't let the emotions swallow you, for example the depresion is an emotional state that usually is marked as a bad thing and something you have to avoid, in most of the cases it would be a correct statement, because people tend to isolate and focus on the emotions, making a circle of negativity that usually are not able to leave without help.
The thing is, that even depresion can be an useful state of mind during short lapses of time, there is not a better state of mind to train and develop a connection with the one, because its usually a state of mind with much less noise than anger, joy, excitement etc, and nobody can be joyful, excited, or sad all the time, you probably know what i mean, the trick is(like with everything else) to control your emotions instead of letting them control you, blessing to you :)
