Good day guys. And now we have the final episode of our series.

Parenting

Firstly, I would want us to understand that children are born with two gifts;
√ Fearlessness
√ Curiosity and spontaneity

As a parent your job is to keep that child fearless until that child is age six at most.

In the most part of Africa, and the world, we beat that fearlessness out of the child in the name of correction. By the time they are six, they are fearful.

We all came fearless, and we learnt our fear.

Once your child is not fearless, there is a critical compromise on his ability to take on his destiny and his world.

The most powerful word for a child is not yes, it is no. It takes skill and courage to say no.

Your children should be strong in saying no, and this has to start in the home. When you kill their ability to say no in the house, they won't say no outside.

If a child is not fearless, he/she can't say no

If you don't want to answer why, don't give birth to a child.

At a level of invention, destruction is a pathway to the greatest level of creativity.

Whatever you don't want then to spoil, don't keep at arm's length

Parenting is an 18year activity
Any act of parenting after 18years is damage control. Because by 18, the social system says your child should be ready for any level of responsibility, including a jail term.

You are a father or mother for life, but you are a parent for 18years.

So don't say my child is not ready to take up a responsibility when he/she is age 18.

When parents say my son or daughter can't date at age 18,its okay, but what it means is that they have failed as a parent to make their child ready for the responsibility.
Because boys will not see your daughter with signs of puberty and say "don't woo her, her parent said she's not ready."
Cultists will not see your son and say don't tell him about cultism, his father said he's not ready.

Whoever we don't like in the society today e.g terrorists, armed robbers, e.t.c. never forget they were once children, innocent and open to correction. They became who they are because of the influence they received.

When the curriculum in the home is faulty, society cannot be right. And there's no way to fix society if we don't return to the family.

So for the sake of your peace, legacy and the nation, for the future, the children of 2025, 2065, and so on, please go out of your way, get on the internet, spend time to learn something about parenting.

You don't know how much you don't know

You don't know how much your ignorance is sincerely creating.

Society is getting complex, children are facing more options than us. Don't use your assumptions and naivety to raise your children.

Don't hope you are correct, know you are correct

Parenting is not a gift of nature, it's a skill

Beautiful. Parenting is not a gift.... It's a skill. Which means you can learn it an master it.

But most parents this days have failed on their part of research. The Bible even admonishes us to be child like..... Because there is something unique about this children.

Most parents never take time to listen to their kids. But this kids are always talking.

Also, the Bible talks about rod of correction...... It means every child has a special means of instruction. Just like everyone has specific love Language. Every child has a language of instruction. But parents refuse to find it.

Also, temperament is one thing parents never notice.

I believe in one thing.... Because you're his or her parent, doesn't mean you own him or her.

Thanks for this awesome write up

Thanks bro... Really love your contribution...
The Bible even instructed parents to "train up their children in the way he should go... But most parents fail to discover the way the child should go. Its therefore the duty of the parents to discover the way the child should go... And train him or her up in that way.
