Young Angler learns the technique, then out fishes everyone....

With light wind and calm seas we decided to run 30 miles in the Gulf of Mexico to hit some of our deeper spots on the pipeline. We had to use extremely light tackle and occasional cut bait for scent to trigger the bite. Young Angler Cj had a stellar day pretty much out fishing the whole boat!! He had so much energy and didn't stop the entire time, he reminded me of myself when I was a young whipper snapper lol. Now for the catch!!




Whats your favorite cut bait to use when deep sea fishing? Ours, slice of belly meat on a jig head.




The highlight of the trip was when we were on our way in and rolled up on a school of dolphins training the young how to hunt. There had to be 100 dolphin in this school doing all sorts of stuff but mainly looking for a handout.
