Tonight me and my university roommate cooked 2 dishes and 1 soup, fried egg, vege, and egg + vege soup. Basically these are the simple dishes that I think it’s suitable for students and people like me not good at cooking.
Here is my procedure in cooking
For vege:
- Break it into smaller parts
- Put them all on a bowl and cleanse it with clean water
- Fill up the bowl with clean water and put it aside for 30 minutes to kill the germs (you may put a bit of salt into it)
- After that, remove the water and it is ready to cook
- You are now ready to cook
- Materials : Tiram 蚝油, Oil, Garlic, Carrot, Salt, 1 small bowl of water
- Put oil first, then in a bit, put a little of Garlic in
- Put carrot in after that
- Add a small portion of salt
- Put all the vegetables in
- Add Tiram into it and put some water in so that you got the sauce
- You may test the taste of the sauce and add in any materials needed to make the sauce taste good
- You are done
For Egg:
- Materials : 2x egg, Salt, Oil
- Crack two eggs into a bowl
- Add some salt in, stir and mix it up together
- You may start cooking it
- Add oil in
- In a bit later, cook it and add some more salt if you think not enough
- You are done
For egg+vege soup:
- Materials : 2x egg, A little bit of vege, Salt, Light Soy Sauce
- Do the same as egg part no. 2&3
- For the vege do the same as the vege part no. 1-4
- Boil the water, and put the eggs in
- Then put vege in
- Add salt if not enough taste
- Add a bit of the light soy sauce
- Taste it yourself, add any materials needed if not enough taste
- You are done
It’s our first time cooking and sorry if any mistakes of cooking procedure or materials. Still learning.. but here is what I wanna share to especially people who are new to cooking, this might helps you.
Well it took us 2 hours for the whole process in cooking, but I think it’s worth the experiences when it is you yourself make for the dinner. Tummy has fully occupied after the meal, grateful to cook and experience in cooking. Cheers to more :)
