How to distinguish the bodhisattva （如何区分菩萨）

When we walk into the temple, the temples are dedicated to Buddha statues of different shapes and sizes. They are majestic in every respect, or in a bun, with a round light, or in a sitting position, in a beholder, with a straight back, with an expression of the spirit, and a low brow, and a compassionate gaze. You can get to know buddhas and bodhisattvas by means of the mount of the buddhas, the holding, the handprint, the dharma and the body.

当我们走进寺院，各个殿堂供奉着大大小小形态各异的佛菩萨像。它们各个庄严相好，或顶有肉髻、项有圆光，或结跏趺坐施降魔印，挺拔的腰背，凝神的表情，低眉垂目，慈悲视众生。大家可通过诸佛菩萨的座骑、持物、手印、法器、色身相等，来认识诸佛菩萨。

 菩萨们相貌圆满,所以一般情况下，法器成了识别他们身份的有效方法。比较常见的观音菩萨形象，有手持净甁、杨柳枝、莲花，是以甘露洒遍三千世的观音菩萨。
