Earworms

in #life7 years ago

Everyone I believe has this happen too them, I just finally looked up the term. An earworm, sometimes known as a brain-worm,[1] sticky music, stuck song syndrome,[2] or Involuntary Musical Imagery (INMI)[3] is a catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a person's mind after it is no longer playing. This is how Wikipedia defines it.

I was watching Monsters vs. Aliens, and this catchy scene pops on.

It has been stuck in my head all week, and I googled it, clearly was not the only one. The beginning is just so darn catchy. The song the President plays is a 1984 song by Harold Faltermeyer called Axel F.It is actually music only but I guess I like some techno. HA

Sort:

Ohrwurm! That's what my German grandfather used to call it. I used to sing a lot as a kid, and when I would sing the same thing seemingly on repeat, he would tell me I must have caught an ohrwurm! Wow, this brought back some warm, fuzzy memories! Thanks! :)

Nice music..

Music is live...music is everytyn to anyone who loves it...I love music just as you do

I first heard of Earworm on the Big Bang Theory.

The music must be make you fresh, at the movie screen lot of soldier come to be stupid..... because that is not a music but just a signal that many people do not understand. I guess that mean is " YOU ARE UNDER CONTROLS". just my perspective..... give you one. good luck buddy.
