What Motivates You? Real Talk & 6-Week Out Update

in #life7 years ago

What does motivation mean to you? How do you motivate yourself? I have been on the struggle bus for about the past two weeks trying to find my inner motivation for my post-baby body comeback and competition prep.

We're all about being real on here, right? The realness of my life has been half assing my double cardios and missing what seems like too many gym sessions in order to be able to succeed at my end goal weight of 115/120 pounds by Sept. 2nd.

As I reflect and feel like I'm beating myself up about this, I have to try to put into perspective that going into this prep with an 8 month old baby wouldn't be easy. With a total of a 2 hour commute to work, I'm gone 10 hours during the day and then have to find time for the gym, cardio, taking care of a baby, house, husband, cooking, meal prepping, baby prepping, and whatever else is thrown my way.

Does anyone else not have enough time to do everything in a day and then repeat? Don't get me wrong, I'm completely happy of how far I have come with my progress, but I just want more and to feel like I'm giving everything 100%.

As a write this, I can't help but feel so vulnerable. We all put out a front of what seems like such a perfect and real life, when in reality, it's a shit show of non stop go go go 😂

As far as my check in pictures go, I'm only down a pound. Striving for more as these weeks dwindle down before it's competition day.

Thank you for reading this far into my world. I am only human and I am trying 💪🏻❤️

Any motivational tips are greatly appreciated 😘

Girl I wish I could have the words to help you through this, but I have never been a mom to a child, and I can only imagine how hard it must be. All I can say is that you're a rockstar. Instagram Fitness moms make it look so easy but then again they are stay-at-home moms, and their job is taking care of their child. The husband will come home, help take care of a child while they go to workout. And it looks simple, but life isn't always that way. Things always get in the way and don't work out the way we want them too. You being a fit-mom, working a full-time job, being a wife-just what you're doing right now is so inspiring. I get that you don't want to miss out on your child's life, but you have your goals too. I'm rooting for you and hope that life falls into place so that this process becomes easier. I know you have the ability to be Steemit famous. Then maybe you can do all that you want by working from home. Those are my goals for you. 😊

😘😘😘 Thank you so much for that! I really appreciate those kind words 💗 You yourself are such an inspiration! I'm definitely going to keep trucking along and see what the next few weeks will bring with doing my best! I guess it's just trying to find a balance, which I feel like I haven't yet, but keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm crossing mine as well! I don't know how you feel about running or jogging, but if you got a really nice stroller you could take Aria on a run with you and get some cardio in. I know resistance bands are not like the gym, but you could buy some that come with ankle bands, and door attachments so you can gym at home. Have you reached out to your coach to see if he has any ideas how to make the process easier?
