'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 To Premiere In April 2019
Winter is finally here. Well, as soon as we deal with our own winter in real life.
HBO just dropped a preview video for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. Don't get too excited about new footage as it's all old stuff from seasons 1 through 6. But at the end of the video, HBO confirms the release date will be April 2019, a full 19 months since Season 7 premiered.
We don't get an exact date, but we do have a ballpark for when we might see the final battle against the White Walkers, and perhaps, more importantly, we'll find out who — if anyone — takes the Throne.
More GoT On The Way
Feeling down about this being the final Game of Thrones season? There is some good news. HBO is working on various projects within the Westeros universe, including one that's set thousands of years before Ned Stark was even born. Naomi Watts has recently been cast in the lead role alongside Josh Whitehorse.
And with that, I'll leave you with this gory image of Khaleesi eating a heart.
