3 Ways to Personally Motivate Yourself - LONG TERM!
How to personally keep yourself motivated
Currently reading a book on influence and the power to change anything. What I've learned so far is influence is all about human behaviors. Once we understand these, we can apply strategies to get what and where we want.
Make the Undesirable Desirable
This current chapter discusses influence on yourself, to keep pushing, to have motivation during the most dreadful times.
There are 3 different ways that can give you motivation for the long run, for goals that may be decades long, you must have something that will continue to drive you. Things can become boring, loathsome, insulting, or painful. When we have a bigger and better emotionally feeling, we can overcome any of these issues.

Make it a game
This is a fantastic way to keep yourself in a positive state while in a possible "terrible" situation or environment. I have used this for years before I ever heard of it. When you look at every scenario like it is just a new "level" on a game, it turns into just another journey, challenge, or learning lesson. You just need to change the way you think about the situation. Mind over matter as usual.
Connect to a Person's Sense of Self
A persons sense of self is stimulated by investing themselves in an activity of personal significance. Succeeding becomes more then just the challenge of reaching the next level on a game. It is a measure of who you are. You have pride in completing the task satisfactory over anything else. It gives you great accomplishment to complete the what you set out to do. This will keep you motivated over anything else.
Engage in Moral Thinking
This one strikes me deeply because it really opened my eyes into why I continue to push forward to achieve massive success. It is from having a sense of greater purpose. What you do is for something bigger then yourself. It may all be for your family and friends, the environment, children, anything that gives you great passion from what you are doing.
I have always wanted to be very success and make lots of money but it is not as selfish as you think. My reasons for making lots of money has always been for a list I've created to help my parents, friends, kids, people all around the world, and to get involved in great projects that will progress the future of the planet.

This is really inspiring and eye-opening with some valid points. I often think of life like a game with levels sometimes, except sometimes that levels are stable and then all of a sudden you're struggling to past the level. Thanks for sharing some words of wisdom @bitdollar. This is a really solid post. 😌
The level could be longer than we think or we just have not learned the way to complete it/know how to engage with it beautifully accepting it, ect. Sounds like you are doing great and well on your way. Each day we work on it, it adds up to giving us more and more clarity. Thank you so much for sharing @themessup!
