Finding Your Passion
What is Passion?
Passion is described as a strong emotion towards something. Some people think that they don’t have any passion in them. This is purely because the real meaning of it is not clear to them. No, passion doesn’t only mean obsessing over a certain hobby, nor is it a thing only for the fanatics. One’s passion can be for anything, be it big or small. You can have a passion for writing a personal diary, for watching a movie, or spending time with your loved ones. The thing that matters is the feeling of contentment and happiness derived from doing the activity.
Importance of Having a Passion
Many don’t realise how important it is to have a passion. Passion gives us a reason to live. Knowing that there is one more thing to hold on to, one more thing worth living for – Passion makes surviving more sensible and easier for us.
When you find something that you truly love doing, it always feels good and acts as a stress reliever for you. Since passion is something that one can have forever to himself, it totally makes sense when people try to look for ways to make money out of it. Just like the old proverb says, “What’s the point of gaining the whole world if you lose your soul?” Our aim is to achieve both, and the best to accomplish is that is through pursuing our passions.
Finding Your Passion
Before you can turn your passion into something profitable, you need to find it. The road to finding your passion can be a soul-searching experience. However, once found, it can make you absolutely unstoppable. Here are some suggestions to help you on your journey to finding your passion:
Do you love doing something? If you already know what you love doing, you’re a few steps ahead immediately! If you’re unsure, you can still get there. Think about anything that you truly loved doing as a child, but never considered is as an opportunity. Be it reading fictions, or solving puzzles – you just need to research the prospects of making money out of it.
Ask yourself this question. “What would I do to spend my time if I had the entire financial support to do anything?” The answer your mind will give you to this question is probably something that won’t necessarily get you paid. When you set aside the money-related concerns at first, and you purely focus on the enjoyment doing a certain task brings you, it becomes that much easier to identify your passion.
Visualize. Think of yourself waking up early in the morning, getting out of bed, excited to go to work. The sun is shining and you are full of enthusiasm regarding your day. Now visualize where you are headed to and what type of job supersedes from that feeling of presentiment.
