Ocular Therapy

How does the Eye Foundation go? The methods that can be applied to the treatment of the ophthalmologist can be determined by an ophthalmologist. In some cases, the ophthalmologic apparatus can be caused by another disease or condition such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus. If this underlying medical condition is the cause of the ophthalmia, the treatment of the disease will also remove the ophthalmologic system. (one)

Some common treatment modalities for ophthalmology are:

Drug Therapy Methods

Eye Drops to Topical Cyclosporine
In order to treat the underlying inflammation of the tear glands, the eyes are dropped 2-4 times daily. Thus, more and better quality tear production can be achieved.

Cyclosporin A drops usually last from one to four months to relieve eyelid symptoms.

Sometimes the ophthalmologist prescribes corticosteroid drops for two weeks just before cyclosporin A to speed up the treatment and reduce the blockage that cyclosporin A may cause. Because of the risk of inducing cataracts and glaucoma, corticosteroids are not taken for a long time. (2nd)

Artificial Tear Drop
The use of artificial tear drops can alleviate eyelid symptoms, but does not cure the underlying cause of the underlying disease. Artificial tear drops can not be effective for everyone, so you should get what is right for you by getting advice from your doctor.

If chronic (long-term) eye disease is experienced, it is important to continue to use it even when it feels good. If you are sleeping, a thicker lubricant such as ointment may be used.

If ocular rosacea is associated with the ophthalmologist's eye, the artificial tear drops used may contain lipids to help prevent tear evaporation
