Open-minded

One of my guilty pleasures is testing new things. I'm always trying to figure out what works and what does not work, especially when it comes to our mind.

Sooo yesterday I intentionally made a post (on my Instagram) which in short sums up a (strong) lack of belief in spirituality, religions, and God. After posting it I lost around 70 to 100 followers in one day. Mind you that I didn't even go all out bashing any particular belief system. The post was just a general position about our tiny place in the Universe.

My concern for today's society is this jump to being offended by every and anything. You so much as say something that contradicts what somebody beliefs and they are offended.

You can't talk about the subjects X Y and Z because it will offend group 1. And you can't talk about A B and C because it will offend group 2. Eventually, you'll end up in a society where nobody can talk about anything because somebody will always be offended.
I think being offended is one of the biggest cop-outs to debate your point of view.

Today I just want to share that you're not open minded if you don't want to debate what you believe. You're not open-minded if you can't change your standpoint based on new insights. You're not open-minded if you get offended at everything that goes against your way of thinking.
