iPhone XR, XS & XS Plus: Could Apple pull out?

in #life6 years ago (edited)

So we got some new iPhones. I watched the keynote from Tim cook walked off stage. Here I tried to put details of the new iPhone X, XS MAX, XS and XR. And I am not really sure what the R stands for..:).

From 3 new iPhone models one is less expensive which kind of the interesting development is, it's something that had been speculated, people wondered is there going to be cheaper iPhone or not.

The way that Tim was talking about it, he was implying that it is the iPhone for everyone but then when he said the price, I was a little bit concerned that it might not be for everyone because it starts at $750 for the newly launched iPhone XR, XS and XS Max.

It's not exactly cheap compared to other smartphones that are out there in the android space smartphones. But for $750, maybe it seems cheap compared to the XS price which is starting at a $1000 and the XS max which starts $1100. Well This is not its entry level by any means.    Now the biggest difference between the three models is the fact that the XR uses an LCD display compared to OLED which is on XS and XS Max.    Also the XR is going to be available in a lot more colors if there is a blue a white black yellow quarrel and product red so tons of color options kind of reminiscent of the iPhone 5C, like we're going to give you a bunch of bright colors on the more budget model iPhone whereas the premium models are only available in silver space gray and gold.

Display wise, the biggest size is 6.5 inches of XS Max. Is six point five inches the so the screen is a large but the form factor is similar to the previous generation plus model. The iPhone eight plus now the notch is still there it's the same size it takes up as much of the display its still get

The another difference between cheaper model XR as it'll have a single camera one twelve megapixel wide angle camera compared to the dual set up on the XS and XS Max front facing camera be the same on all units seven megapixels.

When it comes to storage capacity the XR will Max out at two fifty six of course that'll elevate your price points significantly. the other premium models will go all the way up to 512 GB of local storage also apple went ahead and added a dual sim set up. Now in the keynote a Phil Schiller was trying to break down why you might want a dual sim set up; as many parts of the world are already super familiar with it on the android side for people who travel people who have a data plan on one Sim and then use another sim for voice call; which can be really a play for international markets.

Some people get crazy with pixels basically assuming that the need the highest resolution possible if you want to go pixel hunting bring you close your face you probably see some pixels on this display I was expecting it to be a little higher resolution but of course they were trying to bring the price point down though I still don't think they brought it down far enough

it also doesn't feature 3D touch. They took that out & he didn't mention in the keynote but here in the spec sheet you can see that the cheaper model does not have 3D touch and its not a big deal as you can see here video mode is similar on all three models with the exception of the optical zoom. The all models have 4K. video recording up to sixty FPS.

They got little bit better on battery than the previous generation. Interestingly they say that the XR will actually have the best battery rating for internet use and video playback that must have something to do with the fact that it has in the LCD panel.    The iPhone  lightning connector of course we can unlock faster charging with different chargers but I would like to see apple moved to a standard that's kind of ubiquitous in the market place right now; the type C. The connector is something that's everywhere including apple's own products with a Macbook pro and so it isn't here yet not in iPhones
