Recent studies seem to show that a daily dose of Cannabis could slow the aging process in elderly people. These awesome news according to "Nature Medicine" magazine. The article mentions how with time we tend to have trouble with our cognitive activities and according to the studies this process can actually be slowed down. The article goes on to mention how the studies were conducted with mice and how once they got to an older stage some of them were given doses of Cannabis or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol to be more precise, and the once that were given the THC had a cognitive response similar to younger mice.

The study was done by the Institute of Molecular Psychiatry of the University of Bonn and by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The coordinator of the study Andreas Zimmer affirmed that the active ingredient in Cannabis (THC) completely reverted the cognitive deterioration in older animals.Despite the differences between mice and humans the researchers seem to be very convinced that small doses of Cannabis could revert cerebral aging in elderly people as well. That sounds like great health news and hopefully it can help someone have a better quality of life. This seems to be just one more of the so many benefits of Cannabis. For some it can be life changing. Share if you feel someone you know might benefit from this. Much Love
