5 Home Activities That Can be Body Workouts

Are you a health or body conscious? Yes, everybody wants a good body shape and the most known way to achieve this is by going to a gym. But, how about if you're just too busy in working at office or at home? This means that multi-tasking abilities are needed. But think differently, instead of doing a lot of things to get equivalent benefits, why not think of the things that give a lot of benefits? What I mean is that instead of being a multi-tasker person why not choose an activity that multi-tasks itself?

So here are some of the activities that I used to do at home that I recommend:

1. Doing the laundry manually

Washing machines and dryers consume a lot of electricity for convenience. On the other hand, the whole process of traditional method of washing clothes is a great upper body exercise. Scrubbing, moving them over and under the water and hanging heavy wet clothes require great efforts from arms and shoulders.
+ You can use a small chair to hold your body level and avoid backpain.

2. Walking a walking distance

The name itself already said this you can walk a walking distance. Walking involves the abdominal exercise which is one of the most efficient ways to lose weight. My parents used to ask me to buy here and there, somewhere in our area to buy things so I walk at least 30 minutes each day. And if you are really desperate, you can try running so you can also save time.
+ Do not push yourself too much at burst. Remember that wise drivers starts at first gear.

3. Fetching Water

In some regions in the Philippines, people are obligated to fetch water due to scarcity and waterline problems where they transfer water from a source to their own houses using pails or water drums. But if you want to stretch your bones, you can do it even without the presence of those problems. It is your advantage if you used to fill the water drums where you can fetch water during emergencies. Manual water pumps are also a big help to the body and a great tool for conserving water and saving money and I enjoy moving the handle up and down.

4. Applying floor wax

Wether you are using a mop or a rag, this is another form of exercise. Light exercise for the arms when using mops and a small exercise to build endurance when using rags due to the back and forth movement of the legs. Just be careful of slipping on a smooth floor.

5. Sweeping and cleaning the house

When I am cleaning our house, I walk back and forth to place the scattered things around the house to their proper places. When the place is too high, I used to jump instead of just using a chair to step on. You can do more if you'll move a cabinet, a chair, or something heavy in able to clean underneath them.

These are just some of the ways you can spend your energy while helping at home. You can be creative to do more things just like shooting the rolled socks to the laundry basket like you're playing basketball.
