Walmart started to open chain stores in China. Here is how it turned out.
Walmart isn't known to target a high customer segment. From the attire of it's customers to quality of the product it sells, the company successfully managed to make a meme out of it's name. Let's have a look at how it's Chinese stores turned out to be.
- Casually making an exhibition of chopped off pig heads.
- It is said that Chinese customers doesn't like packaged meat. They seem to like to "touch" the meat and have a look at it's quality before buying it.
- Walmart provides "extra fresh" sea food to it's Chinese customers. It's so fresh that it's alive.
- I don't even have anything to say. Couldn't understand the functionality of the orange though.
- Crowded places are very common in China. So that's actually not about Walmart. But US customers should appreciate the persistence of Chinese customers, because every day the stores are crowded like a "black friday".
