Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Screen Nearly No Bezel, Made by Designer Philippe Starck Maestro

Xiaomi last year had surprised everyone with the release of Mi Mix, a smartphone with a screen almost without a frame. Now they will soon launch the successor smartphone series, with a more sophisticated screen.

The successor in question is Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Recently circulated a leaked image that is claimed as a form of the prototype of the smartphone.

As reported by KompasTekno from GSM Arena on Thursday (10/08/2017), the interesting thing from the prototype Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is a screen design that really does not seem to have a frame.

In other words, the front of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the whole screen. There are only a few thin border on the bottom and top, while the barrier on the right and left is almost invisible.

Grill speakers, which are usually at the top of the screen had been trimmed. Instead, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will use a piezoelectric module to make a sound.

In addition, there is a possibility Xiaomi not embed the front camera in Mi Mix 2. The cause is the top bezel is too thin, so it has no room to install the camera.

Another rumor reveals that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be equipped with the brains processing Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6 GB RAM, and AMOLED screen. There is also a main camera as sharp as 19 megapixels, and a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to be sold with a price tag of 4,999 yuan or equivalent to Rp 9.9 million. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is also predicted to be launched in mid-September 2017.
