Lash Tip - How to clean your eyelash extensions

Alright ladies, let's talk about the importance of cleaning your eyelash extensions. The reason I'm writing this is because week ago a new client of mine came to me with awfull looking lashes and said that the lash lady before me said to her: "Don't wash your eyes"...
Did you know that failing to cleanse your lashes daily can not only result in premature lash shedding, but it can also result in blepharitis or demodex?

Blepharitis is when the oil glands in your lashes get clogged (from lack of cleansing) and results in crusty buildup at your lash line and itchiness and swelling of your eyelids.
Demodex are nasty little mites that live in your lash follicles and can also be very irritating.
To avoid these eye conditions and to keep your lashes healthy and strong, you need to cleanse your lashes daily! Use a foam pump bottle and fill it with three parts water, one part baby shampoo and a few drops of tea tree oil. The shampoo will gently strip your lashes of all impurities and the tea tree oil will help prevent eye conditions (like the ones listed above) as well as keeping your natural lashes healthy. (And no, tea tree oil will not effect adhesive bonds when used in very small quantities)

As long as you're cleansing your lashes daily, you will not only prevent your lashes from looking like this, but your lash appointments will go better (because the lash technician will spend less time cleaning and more time lashing) AND your lashes will actually last longer since lash adhesive can only fully bond to clean lashes!

Happy cleansing lash babes! :)
