Wattpad vs Steemit
Hey guys!!! So for those of you who follow me, y'all may have noticed that I haven't been on lately. I will work harder to fix that. However, this will be the start of a series of comparison. I will be comparing the pros and cons of different platforms to steemit. These will include, but are not limited to, wattpad, inkitt, facebook, twitter, etc. If you have a platform you would like me to research, please leave a comment in the section below.
Ok so now on to the actual information part of this post. Many writers (including myself) go into wattpad believing that this will finally be their salvation. That this site will finally get them noticed and , eventually, published. However I have learned that on Wattpad it's hard to even get a few views (and this is coming from someone with 658 followers and counting). Also, Wattpad started this new "Premium" thing. What premium does is removes the ads from both the app and the website for $5.99 per month; which translates to $60 per year, just to get rid of some ads that may or may not inhibit your writing experience. Sure, Wattpad may be awesome for storage of ideas but beyond that, there's really no future for a writer who wants their work to be seen.
My experience with wattpad was really awesome...at least until i wanted to get published. No major publisher wanted to publish a book that was available for free on a different site. The reason for this is because it was a liability. If you had a book for free on one site and then next thing you know, it's published and you have to pay to read the last chapter, you're not going to be inclined to buy it. It's just common sense. However, I deleted my book on wattpad and self published on KDP and Createspace. So far, sales have been ok but my point is, they would have been better if I had not used wattpad. I would have a better projection because no one would have heard about this book.
So yes, Wattpad has it's good qualities but ultimately, if you don't have the means to get noticed and tons of views, you're not going to get very far. However on Steemit, you can get tons of views and make money at the same time. The advertising is literally paying for itself. Just use my friend @swolesome 's hashtag #mysteemitbook. Here you can keep up your work, get noticed and get paid.

Good constructive juxtaposition...the fact is that the number of poems i have written on steemit, i have never written it before. The incentive and the drive is on this platform makes it beautiful and awesome. The ambience and the instinct of making exploit and wittingly improving yourself makes this platform irresistible.
100% agree. Thanks for the comment!!!
As an amateur writer (really, really crappy stuff) myself, I know that I will never get noticed for what I write, but I want at least someone read what I have done and at least get some feed back (other than cantaloupes thrown at me). Would Steemit be a better place to publish some of my smaller works or just create links to what I have done?
On the actual question however. You could post your stuff on here and not have to have another place because it'll save your work. And you'll get paid for it. So I would
I think so. Mostly because its really hard to get noticed on sites like wattpad without connections and
Thank you. Now, if my stuff is really bad, don't blame me, I blame it on the Boogie!
