They Call, They Text, They Write Post Cards 8.8.2022

I thought I would take a picture of this postcard. What do they want? Well, they want to buy my house. Of course they want to buy my house for less than what it is worth. That's how they make money.

But why are they trying to contact me through phone calls, line phone and cell phone, or text and in this case post card, and they do write letters also.

Well, I used to always get them, but since now that I don't carry a mortgage they are really interested now.

You see my insurance company wanted me to fix my roof and I didn't want to fix it at the time, we all know how much fixing roofs can be, but if I didn't fix the roof, the insurance company could drop my coverage and if they did drop my coverage with still carrying a mortgage the mortgage company can force me to get another insurance. So to by pass the insurance company I thought I would just pay up the mortgage. I didn't have that much to go.

So I looked at my life insurance company that told me I could take a loan against my life insurance. A good thing about taking a loan against my life insurance is that even if I don't pay it back, they still get their money, when I die. They will just take part of the money that would have been given to the beneficiary, so the beneficiary would get their money minus the loans taken against the life insurance policy.

Well, I don't want to pay any extra fees and interest, so I am paying back my loans against my life insurance. But you see because I did this I am free to not have to fix my roof at this moment. I will eventually fix my roof, but not now.

So this is why I keep on getting phone calls and texts and letters and post cards, hoping that I will sell, but the thing is, I don't want to sell. I like the idea of keeping my house until I die.

Can you imagine if I did take the money? I would still have to find a place to live and I heard of rooms in houses going as high as $1500 a month, well to stay in my house I just have to save about $400 a month to pay taxes and my flood insurance, I don't have my house insurance at the moment. So it is cheaper for me to just live in this house that I have been living in since March of 1990.

I am too old to keep on moving, I will just stay here. But they will just have to keep on trying to connect with me, but they don't have a good offer in my eyes.

Let's end with a scripture, Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established. Proverbs 15:22.
